This is where I wanted to break all the rules. But when I looked for these rules I could not find them, and when I looked for who wrote them, they too were gone.

I felt as though not only the walls had been removed, but the floor, and the ceiling too.
I felt a sudden descent, the sensation of falling in a dream...

Until I realized... I was rising.

This is the Eugnosis "Sampling Album", where nothing is sacred and anything is possible. I harvested slices of various pop music, film & game scores, and even some of my own older songs. The samples were generally obliterated beyond recognition and served more like a tonal noise source that I used to build towering structures of emotion.

Digital artefacts produced by time-stretching samples can sound harsh, so in some cases the only option was to lean into the noise. This resulted in a mix of smooth atmospheres and blistering power-electronics textures.
